Vince McMahon does not have a lot of favourites in the WWE but when he does, he will make sure that they are taken care of and almost caters to every demand of theirs, so it came as a huge shock when Bray Wyatt was released from the company. The Eater of Worlds who was going through a career renaissance as The Fiend was let go by the company when they decided not to renew his contract. Matt Hardy, who is now a veteran in the business had a very interesting take on the situation and said that Wyatt was in the good books of Vince.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, he said, “Bray has always had a very strange relationship with Vince, very strange. I almost feel like Vince looked at him like a son in some ways. When he would do things he liked, he would love him and he would really give him everything that he could possibly give him, and bend over backwards to try and accommodate him. But then when he did something he didn’t like, he became hated, like he was going to lock him away for good.

He continued, “It was almost like a really strange and different duality that Vince shared with Bray. When he liked him or loved him, he was all about him, but when he disliked him, oh my god, it was really bad. He would punish him and insult him, it was so strange. It was almost like a parent. It would almost be like how Reby disciplines the kids.”

Bray Wyatt is yet to find a home

When Bray got released by the WWE, it was widely speculated that the Eater of Worlds would go on to sign for AEW as that seemed to be the only logical choice. But much to everybody’s surprise, Wyatt has still not signed for any promotion and has remained a free agent for a year now. During his time in the WWE, Bray was very successful. He led a faction known as The Wyatt Family that terrorised the entire locker room and went on to have memorable feuds with The Shield, The Rhodes Brothers and Evolution. The team comprised of Bray Wyatt, the late Luke Harper, Erik Rowan and Braun Strowman. After their split, Harper and Rowan went on to appear in AEW whereas Braun and Bray went on to become Universal Champions.
