The match was awarded a five-star rating by journalist Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and in the process became the first WWE match to receive the honour since 2011.
WWE Hell in a Cell was good in more ways than one but the best part of the show was Cody Rhodes taking on Seth Rollins inside the cell. The match was good for many reasons but what made it even better was the fact that Cody Rhodes wrestled the match with a torn pectoral muscle and won. He defeated Rollins in a gruelling match and earned loads of praise from fans and stars alike. The match was awarded a five-star rating by journalist Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and in the process became the first WWE match to receive the honour since 2011.
When Cody posted a clip of his match on Twitter last night, none other than The People’s Champ The Rock responded to it and sang his praises. He tweeted, “Holy shit. Proud of both, you and Seth. Go make your money!!”

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes has successfully undergone surgery on his torn pectoral tendon according to his wife Brandi Rhodes. Brandi took to Twitter and said, “The doctor just repaired Cody’s pectoral tendon which was torn completely off the bone. Successful surgery. He is on the road to recovery now.” He is expected to be out for three to five months.
As reported earlier, Cody underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, and the surgery was handled by the renowned Dr James Andrews, who has been a go-to surgeon for several wrestlers over the years. At first, he only suffered a slight tear of his right pectoral muscle while duking it out with Seth Rollins on Raw before Hell in a Cell. But he suffered a full tear of the muscle while training a few days later, which led to uncertainty over his availability for Hell in a Cell. Rhodes courageously fought with a noticeable bruise on his arm and chest and recorded his third consecutive win over Seth Rollins.
