He gained fame in the late 1990s as a prominent figure in the World Wrestling Federation (now known as WWE), where his charismatic personality and imposing physique made him one of the most beloved and successful wrestlers of all time.

The Rock’s thought on WWE and UFC merger

“I see smooth sailing with this. This has been a long time coming. When we think about where Vince [McMahon] started — I often talk about my ‘seven bucks’ moment — I had seven bucks in my pocket when I was cut from the Canadian football league.

Vince [McMahon] had his ‘seven bucks’ moment too as well, and he leveraged every dollar he had for the very first WrestleMania. Years later he creates this merger with Ari [Emanuel] that’s in the billions of dollars.” The Rock said during his interview with CNBC Television on May 11.

There are many speculations going around inside wrestling world about what will happen next after the merging of WWE and UFC. Many are saying WWE management would have to cut some superstars from their current roster. Management team will also see some people leaving the organization in future as UFC already have people who can do there work quite easily.

WWE and UFC merger might see some superstar leaving

Many people are concerned with the news of UFC and WWE emerging, as this might lead to some unexpected departures in players’ rosters as well as in the management also.

Endeavour COO Mark Shapiro stated that layoffs would occur because Endeavour already has staff in place that is capable of handling tasks at specific WWE divisions. Having two groups of individuals perform the same task does not make economic sense.

According to the agreement, WWE shareholders would control the remaining 49% of the new combat sports and entertainment company, with Endeavour owning 51% of it. WWE is valued at $9.3 billion and Endeavor’s UFC is valued at $12.1 billion, according to a press release from the companies. Shares of WWE and Endeavour both fell on Monday morning. It is predicted that the agreement would be completed in the second half of 2023. WWE and UFC will be merged to create a $21 billion worldwide live sports and entertainment corporation.
