The story began after WrestleMania 38 when Sami was pushed to join Bloodline and was completely ignored by the stable members. “I don’t want to pull back the curtain too much, but the idea was thrown about a year ago, six months before it was seeded on screen. My first interaction with Bloodline was: I think it was right after WrestleMania, and in fact, the idea was first discussed at Survivor Series last year.
“I did it all with SmackDown, who was the longest-serving locker room manager. I thought there was something interesting about the head of the dressing room and the head of the table. The premise is that the head of the table is gone in the dressing room. “I wasn’t originally going to be a full member of Bloodline, just that Roman and I would be on screen together from time to time to give him a report on what was going on and what to do.” It was like being able to keep an eye on the mast, sometimes things get in my way, and that was kind of the idea.
