Last Friday, WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns returned to SmackDown to begin the build for the Night of Champions Tag Team Title fight against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Reigns has been added to a house show in Fayetteville, North Carolina on Saturday, May 20, but expect to see increasingly less of him at WWE events as the year unfolds. On social media today, insider account Boozer #BWE revealed that there are plans to replace the “huge void” that Reigns will depart shortly “with other huge names.”

When asked if Reigns would take his belts with him if he took another hiatus, #BWE said, “Yes.” In response to rumors that Reigns will leave WWE this year, #BWE said, “No, but less schedule with time.” Nick Khan has openly indicated that Reigns has Hollywood ambitions and that WWE would collaborate with him on TV/movie projects.

Roman Reigns wasn’t scheduled for Backlashas well

The undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was apparently not set to appear at the Backlash premium live event on May 6. Reigns were not scheduled to perform at Backlash as of Monday, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Felix Upton of Ringside News), but he is scheduled to wrestle at other premium live events in the coming months. Reigns surprise defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 39 last weekend, owing to intervention from Solo Sikoa, extending his reign as world champion to nearly 900 days.

What is the relationship between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa?

Solo Sikoa, who was just called up to the WWE main roster, first gained attention when he joined The Bloodline at the Clash at the Castle premium live event last month in Cardiff, Wales. Sikoa has a lot to live up to in the wrestling industry as a cousin of both Roman Reigns and The Rock, as well as the younger brother of the Usos.

On October 26, 2021, Solo Sikoa made his NXT debut in the Halloween Havoc special. He took out Grayson Waller and confronted LA Knight. Following the part, audience members chanted “Uso!” at him. It was only one of numerous unexpected events during the evening.

In August 2021, Sikoa signed with WWE and was assigned to the Performance Centre. However, before to joining the firm, he was a regular on the independent circuit. So, does Solo Sikoa have a connection to Roman Reigns? Yes, he is descended from the famed Anoa’i family line. He is the younger brother of Jimmy and Jey Uso and the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. This implies he is also Roman Reigns’ cousin.
