WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been on another level of late and is now a name that fans react to. Ever since he won the Universal Championship, he has elevated his game to great heights and is now a consistent contender for having 5-star matches.

Roman Reigns appeared on The Michael Kay Show and was asked who he thought was the greatest wrestler of all time. He said,  “To me, I’m not trying to get there, I believe I’m there. I believe I’m living in the day of The GOAT within my own performance. I’m just constantly pushing myself, and for many reasons, I feel like I’m surrounded by the greatest and me as a singles competitor, as the Universal Champion, as the top guy of WWE, the face of this billion-dollar company, I’m the greatest of all time.”

The Tribal Chief will take on the Beast Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in a Winner Takes All match for the WWE and Universal titles.

Reigns has not lost for over 800 days

Reigns continues his record-extending and milestone setting spree. The longest-standing Universal Champion has now remained unpinned for over 800 days, setting a personal milestone. The last time ‘The Tribal Chief’ allowed any opponent to secure a pinfall victory over him was at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at WWE TLC, on December 15, 2019, when King Corbin defeated him. And there is hardly any doubt that Reigns continues to establish himself as one of the superstars in the company in his still-growing individual career after splitting with The Shield.

Reigns who was an important part of The Shield set a new record as WWE Universal Champion by maintaining his position for over 500 days. Reigns has thus become the longest-reigning Universal Champion. In fact, he surpassed Brock Lesnar’s previous record of 503 days from 2017 to 2018 which came to an end at the hands of none other than The Head of The Table himself.

Reigns made a comeback at the SummerSlam last year with Paul Heyman to claim the Universal title for the second time after overcoming WWE legends Edge, John Cena and The Beast in a No Holds Barred Triple Threat Match.
