Roman Reigns is at the top of the mountain when it comes to WWE and its not difficult to see why. The Tribal Chief has been on a roll for the last three years and has essentially carried the company on his back. He is without doubt, the biggest draw in the world of wrestling right now as he has surpassed 900 days of being the WWE Universal Champion.

Roman is scheduled to take on the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 and although there have been some chinks in the armour of late when it comes to The Bloodline, he will be confident on retaining the title and prolonging his spell as the main champion and breaking records.

He recently spoke to the Associated Press ahead of WrestleMania and hinted that WWE will need to bring out the big bucks to keep him on board. Roman said, “You set goals and have visions of where you view yourself and what you’d like to accomplish. But, I couldn’t have written the past three years any better. It feels good to come from a wrestling family that has been performers for a long time. To represent such a prestigious title reign at the tippity top of the mountain, there’s no comparison.

“I feel good. I take care of myself. I’m not running around doing anything crazy. I raise children and dominate the wrestling game. If they keep cutting these insane checks, I’ll stay around,” he concluded.

Will Roman Reigns take a break after WrestleMania 39?

Roman has been carrying the company on his back for the last three years and if recent reports are to be believed, then the Tribal Chief will get a much deserved break from television after WrestleMania 39. According to WrestleVotes, Roman is expected to take a ‘significant break’ following the show of shows in April. The report also says that Reigns will not be in action until SummerSlam in August.

To some fans, this is shocking news and would be disappointed at not being able to see their beloved WWE star in action but to others, it would seem like Roman deserves this break after carrying and representing the WWE in top notch fashion for over three years. This also suggests that Cody Rhodes will beat Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and given the hype around the American Nightmare, it would be perfect if the WWE let Cody hog the limelight and let Roman take a well deserved rest.
