WWE SmackDown began with a heated argument in the parking lot, which was followed by a backstage segment starring Roman Reigns. It became evident that Reigns and Zayn’s relationship was far from perfect as the Bloodline pulled into the arena parking lot and heartily greeted one another. The Tribal Chief would not give the Honorary Uce a fist bump.
Shortly after, in the backstage segment, Sami Zayn tried to talk to Roman Reigns when he was in his own locker room with Paul Heyman. Reigns, though, appeared uninterested in the conversation and told Zayn to “get out.” Roman Reigns questioned the purpose of their talk as a dumbfounded Sami stuttered, much to the amazement and awe of a nearby Paul Heyman.
Sami’s name was the one thing Reigns didn’t want to hear, and he said, “I’m not going to do this every single week.” He also added saying, “It blows my mind, the Tribal Chief needs to run his game plan by the Honorary Uce? When did this start? Why don’t you go find Kevin, go find your own Bloodline and stop using my family. Just get out.”
After Reigns instructed Heyman to remove Zayn, Sami Zayn exited the locker room, still stunned. Paul Heyman gave the Tribal Chief advice on the matter in a subsequent behind-the-scenes scene. Sami Zayn was then persuaded to meet with Roman Reigns once again, and he gave him detailed instructions on how to spend the remainder of the evening.
Reigns stated that after seeing Sami Zayn once more, he understood that what Sami wanted was honest communication. Roman Reigns asked Zayn to get ready to depart with the Usos so that he, Heyman, and Solo Sikoa could finish signing Kevin Owens’ contract. This was because Roman Reigns had brought the Honorary Uce back into the fold.
Roman Reigns would not have the opportunity to sign the contract. In a sudden assault, Kevin Owens hit Reigns with a powerful stunner and a powerbomb through a table. KO fled through the crowd to terminate the match as Sami Zayn and the Usos raced out to make the save just a little bit too late to end the show.
Roman Reigns exists in a different world than his contemporaries. He claims he is in God mode while everyone else has been operating at a high level. That is a fact that is equally undeniable as his WWE Universal Championship.
In fact, Reigns, who is currently the WWE’s top champion, is adding his name to the list of all-time greats. Many have attempted to strip him of his WWE and Universal Championships, but he has defeated them all. We meant “smashed,” sorry Tribal Chief. Although The Head of the Table has a long list of accomplishments, we believe that his tenure as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion takes the cake.
