Rick Steiner is a wrestling legend and here we are remembering him for his great accolades in his wrestling career. But most of his matches and rivalries were in tag-team. He has been in very less single bouts. He is one half of the Steiner Brothers alongside his brother Scott. Both of the legend have worked so hard and have given great matches. So, today we will look back on some of the greatest rivalries Rick Steiner was part of.

The Fabulous Freebirds

This bout is significant because it was The Steiner Brothers’ first opportunity at the tag title, the first of many. Rick was trying to date his admirer Robin Green, who would eventually be known as Woman and Nancy Benoit, and the team was in the middle of it. Green ultimately lost The Steiners the game when she “accidentally” tripped Scott. In the months ahead, she would ultimately manage Doom in bouts against the Steiners.

Steve Williams & Terry Gordy

WCW re-established ties with the NWA in 1992, announcing a tournament for the NWA Tag Titles. The tournament included a number of outstanding teams, including Steve Williams and Terry Gordy’s Miracle Violence Connection. The Steiners met Williams and Gordy in the quarterfinals, and it was a hard-hitting battle in which both teams slammed one other around with suplexes and smashes. Dr. Death and Bam Bam were victorious in the end.

Lex Luger & Sting

Sting, Lex Luger, and The Steiner Brothers were the four greatest babyfaces in WCW in 1991, therefore fans were ecstatic to learn that the four would be wrestling for the WCW Tag Team Titles at Superbrawl. While all four were recognized for being outstanding (even great) workers, it’s almost startling to watch how brilliant this match was, which regrettably ended with a screwed-up ending when Nikita Koloff accidentally struck Sting with a chain while attempting to attack Luger.
