The previous year, The Undertaker was honored into the WWE Hall of Fame. His admission into the category was unavoidable given his tremendous career and unrivaled impact. While The Deadman has been impressive all year, he will be a huge subject every time WrestleMania season begins. Because of his dominance at the event, The Undertaker and WrestleMania are nearly synonymous.

The streak was not only one of the most extraordinary things to happen in pro wrestling history, but it also featured some of the best matches ever. Though not all of the contests were fantastic, most of them are nonetheless worth watching again. At The Grandest Stage of Them All, we will rate the ten best Undertaker matches on our list.

10. Undertaker vs. Triple H, WrestleMania 17

This was a bloody affair. This match was chaotic and full of unexpected twists and turns. They entered the throng, the sound area, the crowd again, and the ring.  Some people have lost track about this contest, which is a tragedy because it was fantastic. It is a match that will go down as one of his best in his career, and HHH came within inches of breaking Taker’s streak here with his sledgehammer shot to the face…only for Taker to kick out. He stowed HHH and stood tall.

9. Undertaker vs. Edge, WrestleMania 24

In 2008, The Deadman won his sole Elimination Chamber match and secured a World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania XXIV. The prelude to the match was incredibly exciting, with his opponent Edge desperate to end the run. However, at the event, the sole action that he could do was modify the record score from 15-0 to 16-0. That stated, the competition was simply magnificent, with both superstars given the opportunity to make an impression in the crowning moment.

8. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels, WrestleMania 16

Shawn Michaels, possibly more than anybody else, was determined to end the run. He attempted everything possible to persuade the Undertaker to rematch after failing to do so at WrestleMania 25. The Deadman welcomed the challenge on the condition that Michaels resign if he lost. The Heartbreak Kid consented to a rematch in exchange for compensation. Their match at WrestleMania 26 was incredible. It was possibly the only time at WrestleMania where fans were as supportive of the Final Oulaw’s opponent since his professional future was on the line. The Phenom eventually terminated Michaels’ campaign in what was a riveting match from the start.

7. Undertaker vs. Kane, WrestleMania 14

This plot is one of his best in his career. His brother Kane, who had previously embarrassed him, has made his appearance denying the Undertaker his match at Bad Blood. He promised he’d never attack his brother, but he couldn’t help himself. The WWE’s two biggest monsters collided at the year’s biggest event, and the match exceeded all expectations. It was a cycle, and Kane appeared to be closing in on The Deadman. Kane was finally laid to rest after three tombstones. That was not a mistake.

6. Undertaker vs. Randy Orton, WrestleMania 21

It’s an honest suggestion; I wanted to rate the contest higher, but it felt a touch dragging at moments. There were a few instances of disinterest, but not many. It is included on this list because of its last minutes. This match made everyone believe that Randy would finish it. It seems like such at times. Randy converting a chokeslam towards an RKO was really convincing, especially with his father appearing out of nothing and getting involved. As I already stated, there were moments of monotony, but they were brief. The finale ranks as one of the best, securing its position at No. 6 on this list.

5. Undertaker vs. Ric Flair, WrestleMania 18

I believe that many people have forgotten about this. I’m not sure why, given the actions it required to put Flair down for the count. This was again another fantastic conclusion. Whatever Undertaker tried, Flair just continued kicking out. The Undertaker became so enraged that he attacked the referee! This was a gory affair that did not disappoint. It was a match in which Flair was being beaten to death. Flair had his offensive moments, but he was never truly threatened by the Phenom. It is graded this high because of Taker’s domination and excitement in this match.

4. Undertaker vs. Triple H, WrestleMania 28

After being wheeled away on a stretcher following WrestleMania 27, The Undertaker challenges Triple H to a rematch following that year. The Game, on the other hand, had embarked on an administrative position by then and decided that the run was best for business. After becoming angry with the Taker’s relentless mockery, Triple H consented to a rematch. Shawn Michaels was introduced as the special guest referee, who added a twist to the situation.

In a Hell in a Cell match, the two titans faced off. Their confrontation was almost as violent as their first encounter, but Michaels’ presence added to the excitement. Even Michaels’ Sweet Chin Music, accompanied by a Pedigree, was unable to hinder the soon-to-be Hall of Famer that day. Shawn Michaels counted the pinfall to give the Phenom the victory.

3. Undertaker vs. Ric Flair, WrestleMania 18

I believe that many people have forgotten about this. I’m not sure why, given the steps it required to put Flair down for the count. This was again another fantastic conclusion. Whatever Undertaker tried, Flair just continued kicking out. The Undertaker became so enraged that he attacked the referee! This was a gory affair that did not disappoint. It was a match whereby Flair was beaten to death. Flair got some nasty moments, but he was never truly threatened by the Phenom. It is graded this high because of Taker’s domination and excitement in this match.

2. Undertaker vs. Batista, WrestleMania 23

This match is a fantastic example of non-stop action. They have tremendous chemistry together. This was a back-and-forth battle. You seemed to dread the finish of the match. They both gave it their all, and it showed. In contrast to the Edge match, this featured all power moves. They both suffered the blows of their lives in this match, which proved to be one of their greatest ever. Once again, this was not the headline event of WrestleMania. With that in mind, when it was all said and done, Batista reportedly rushed into the back and yelled, “Top that!” I’m sure he was referring to the main event, but there is one more match that tops this list.

1. Undertaker vs. Shawn Micheals, WrestleMania 25

This is the reason why we watch wrestling, love wrestling, and wish it would never die. This is as close to a perfect match as anyone could hope for. It was a five star contest. You have the two greatest in-ring performers in WWE history going at it on the largest stage. Shawn stated that the only thing left for him to accomplish in his career was to break Undertaker’s streak.  The Undertaker hadn’t previously beaten Micheals in singles combat before this match. Shawn just pinned Taker once in singles contests, and that was at Bad Blood’s Hell in the Cell. This is a pretty shocking statistic. Nonetheless, this is the most outstanding of his WrestleMania matches, and possibly the best match of his and Shawn Micheals’ careers.
