Shinsuke Nakamura (born February 24, 1980) is a professional wrestler and mixed martial artist from Japan who is presently contracted to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and competes on the SmackDown brand.
Shinsuke, who was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan, was bullied as a child. Nakamura unwittingly determined the trajectory of his destiny with his ambition to be able to protect himself and his fondness for wrestling shows on television. He began wrestling with New Japan Pro Wrestling and remained there for 14 years, becoming one of Japan’s most popular wrestlers in the process. Nakamura earned the IWGP’s Heavyweight champion at the age of 23, making him the promotion’s youngest Heavyweight champion ever.
Shinsuke Nakamura has won the WWE United States Championship twice and the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice. In addition, he is a two-time NXT Champion. He is a three-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, five-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, one-time IWGP Tag Team Champion, and winner of the 2011 G1 Climax, 2006 G1 Tag League, and 2014 New Japan Cup tournaments.

Nakamura makes his main roster debut on SmackDown after WrestleMania 33. On SmackDown, Nakamura rose to prominence and challenged Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. At SummerSlam and Hell in a Cell, Nakamura was unable to defeat Jinder for the championship.
Nakamura challenged AJ Styles after winning the Royal Rumble bout in 2018. Styles conquered Nakamura for the championship at WrestleMania 34, and Nakamura decided to turn heel. He feuded with Styles for the next few months, but he was unable to capture the WWE Championship. He won the United States Championship at Extreme Rules by defeating Jeff Hardy.
In 2019, he defeated Rusev for the second time in the United States Championship. Nakamura began a feud with Finn Balor after WrestleMania 35. He won the Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules by defeating Finn Balor. Nakamura held the title for nearly 200 days and was the first to launch a new championship.
Cesaro and Nakamura wrestled in the tag team division after WrestleMania 36. The duo defeated The New Day for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at Extreme Rules. During the draught, the team lost the championships.
He beat Baron Corbin to become WWE’s King after WrestleMania 37. He started working with Rick Boggs and changed his appearance. Nakamura won his second Intercontinental Championship after defeating Apollo Crews before SummerSlam.

Harumi Maekawa is the wife of Shinsuke Nakamura. Harumi was born on February 2, 1981, in Tokyo, Japan. She studied at Shibuya’s Aoyama Gakuin University. Yet getting married to a famous wrestler, Harumi tries to keep her personal life private.
He’s been trained in a number of different combat methods, which he incorporates into his on-air presence. He possesses the art of not only karate but kung fu, boxing, kickboxing, pro wrestling, submission wrestling, and other martial arts expertise.
Although Asuka and Nakamura are good friends, they are not related.
