Paul Heyman in WWE

Paul Heyman started his WWE career working as a commentator on RAW replacing Jerry Lawler who had recently quit. During that time, he resumed his rivalry with Jim Ross. In July 2001, while retaining his commentator role, Heyman recreated ECW as a stable, which then immediately merged with Shane McMahon’s WCW to form the Alliance during the Invasion angle. Heyman was fired following the 2001 Survivor Series when the Alliance lost a winner takes all match that marked the end of the invasion angle. He was then replaced by the returning Jerry Lawler on the RAW commentary team.

Managing Brock Lesnar & SmackDown GM

When Brock Lesnar made his debut in the WWE, Heyman began mentoring him and Vince McMahon decided to make Heyman Lesnar’s manager. Heyman helped Lesnar capture the WWE Undisputed Championship when Lesnar beat The Rock at SummerSlam to also become the youngest WWE Undisputed Champion at the time. In 2003, when Vince McMahon defeated Stephanie McMahon, she was forced to resign from her position as general manager of SmackDown. Subsequently, Heyman was then named as General Manager. On March 22, 2004, he appeared on Raw to take part in the annual WWE draft lottery. During the show, he was drafted to RAW to work for Eric Bischoff. Instead, he decided to quit rather than work for Bischoff, the man he cited for the death of ECW. Heyman was replaced by Kurt Angle as manager of SmackDown.

Return to WWE

Heyman returned to the WWE in 2012 after Lesnar made his comeback. Heyman confronted Triple H, handing him a lawsuit from Lesnar for breaching of contract. Triple H responded by shoving Heyman into the ropes, leading Heyman to announce that he would file a lawsuit. Later, Brock Lesnar took on Triple H in a match at SummerSlam and emerged victorious. Heyman would then go on to align himself with the likes of CM Punk (with whom he had memorable moments during his WWE title run), Cesaro and Brock Lesnar. Right now, he is the special counsel to WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Paul Heyman wife

Paul Heyman is very secretive when it comes to his personal life and does not disclose much. Heyman married Marla Heyman and they tied the knot in a private ceremony. Marla and Paul have a daughter named Azalea Heyman and a son named Jacob Heyman. Not much is known about Marla as she does not have a social media account and neither does Heyman post anything about her. They have since separated and not much is known about it as they have kept it as secret as possible.

What is the relationship between Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar?

Few people know Brock Lesnar better than WWE personality Paul Heyman. Serving as his on-screen manager and later as a dedicated “advocate” for the ex-UFC champion, Heyman has spent years working with Lesnar both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
