Pat McAfee's opponent for WrestleMania 38 will be Vince McMahon's prodigy.

In a swerve that no one saw coming, Austin Theory is set to take on Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38. Theory appeared in the ringside area during WWE SmackDown, taunting McAfee over the mic.
Theory spoke about being an apprentice of WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon, who is in attendance at the presentation.
According to Theory, Vince only went on The Pat McAfee Show this week to set up McAfee. As per Theory, Vince dislikes McAfee and regards him as simply another loudmouth like everyone else.
Theory then proceeded to ringside as McAfee rose to confront him.Theory declared that Pat McAfee is his WrestleMania opponent, and then punched him in the face, knocking off his headset.
He walked out, chuckling, as McAfee yelled at him and swore at him from the top of the announce table. Theory vs. McAfee for The Grandest Stage of Them All was subsequently verified by Michael Cole.

WrestleMania had been speculated to include McMahon vs. McAfee, which would have been Vince’s first wrestling battle since 2010.
McMahon was supposed to come on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week to build up the McMahon vs. McAfee rivalry, but that didn’t happen.
Vince merely gave McAfee a bout at WrestleMania and said that a quality opponent will be found for him. McAfee accepted the invitation, and his opponent on SmackDown tonight has been announced as Theory.
There’s no news yet on what WWE has in store for the McAfee vs. Theory battle, or if Vince will be in the ring at WrestleMania.

WrestleMania 38 will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3.

WWE’s chairman sat down with McAfee to discuss the amazing route to WrestleMania 38, dubbed ‘the most spectacular two-night event in WWE history’.
After it was confirmed that McAfee would make his in-ring return on the 38th edition of WrestleMania, McAfee recently appeared on Smackdown and was on commentary when McMahon’s prodigy, Austin Theory, came out and announced that he would be Pat McAfee’s opponent at WrestleMania 38.
Not only that, but Theory alleged that Vince McMahon set up McAfee and appeared on the broadcast simply to silence the commentator.
Following that, Monday Night Raw’s young star walked up to the commentary table and smacked Pat McAfee in the face, causing the commentator to get enraged.
