Cody Rhodes, a WWE Superstar, has talked about his strategy for his encounter against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. At the competition, the two celebrities will square off for the coveted Undisputed WWE Universal Title. By winning this year’s Royal Rumble match, The American Nightmare qualified to compete for the title. The match will go as scheduled if the Tribe Chief is still the champion following the Elimination Chamber.

‘Better story is defeated by the better competitor’

Cody Rhodes was recently questioned by Ace of BBC Sounds about how he intends to unseat Roman Reigns. The interviewer mentioned Drew McIntyre and how everyone believed he would succeed but ended up failing. The previous TNT Champion replied, “I think one of the sobering things about Roman Reigns, is sometimes real life happens, right? You see it in sports all the time, sometimes the better story is defeated by the better competitor, and I think I have to come into this not sweating the individual that is Roman Reigns, the God tier superstar.”

“I think I have to come into this and I can’t just ride the emotions of Dusty’s son, the title he never got. I can’t ride those emotions, I have to just be the literal best, bell to bell. And I just have to come in with more gas in the tank. I have to come in as discipline as possible. I just don’t want to be a casual of that.” he added

Will Roman Reigns’ legendary reign end because of Cody Rhodes?

Since 2020, The Tribal Chief has ruled WWE as its ultimate champion. Numerous famous people have attempted to topple him, but they have all been unsuccessful. This includes well-known athletes like Goldberg, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar. Sami Zayn may have contributed to Roman Reigns’ probable loss to The American Nightmare at The Show of Shows, according to Jim Cornette in an episode of his show Drive Thru.

“I think Sami [Zayn] needs to possible be instrumental in it but without actually helping Cody [Rhodes] do it to where he comes as a flunky but he needs to. In some way or another, Cody and Sami need to be showing each other, as much support as possible and Sami needs to be instrumental in validating Cody as the new champion.”

The absolute Reign

The longest title run in thirty years was recently attained by Roman Reigns, who has been the world champion for 900 days. In order to accomplish his goal of becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Cody Rhodes must pin Roman, which hasn’t been done since 2019. It will be intriguing to see how WrestleMania 39 plays out.
