Roman Reigns is the only one now perched atop the WWE summit. Reigns appear to be the greatest superstar the WWE has created since the days of Dwayne Johnson and John Cena after three fruitful years as the company’s top dog. But what is The Tribal Chief’s next move?

Who could possibly unseat him when he is a part of a fantastic televised narrative that revolves around Raw and SmackDown? Not only would defeating Reigns be difficult, but the next champion’s chances of succeeding him are very slim. No one could duplicate the shadow that Reigns has already cast because it is so big.

No one could match the impact that Reigns has so far cast because it is so big. All of this may seem overwhelming, but Sami Zayn is the fan favourite underdog and he claims that he may soon become the WWE Champion.

Sami Zayn talks about the future of his career in an interview with The Detroit News saying, “When you get this close and you’re in the periphery of the WWE title, it makes you think, well, I’m already here, maybe winning it’s not totally unrealistic. That would for sure be like a cherry on top of everything else. If it happens, awesome. If it doesn’t happen, it still would have all been awesome.”

The purpose has been made obvious to us via Sami’s introduction to the Bloodline this past year. Zayn is going to seriously betray Reigns. Zayn consistently dropped hints and left the fans wanting more, even though we speculated that it would be Clash at the Castle and then WarGames. But stating this aloud gives the impression that the narrative is coming to an end.

Who all can dethrone ‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns other than Sami Zayn?

Kevin Owens

The most potential opponent to dethrone Reigns is Kevin Owens as he has his chance and opportunity to dethrone “The Tribal Chief”. Kevin Owens has been extremely open about his desire to seek retribution on The Bloodline for months.

His unfinished business with the faction began when Roman Reigns defeated him three times in a row to retain the Universal Championship between December 2020 and January 2021, each time with help from Jey Uso. At Survivor Series on November 26, KO came close to winning the men’s WarGames championship by pinning Reigns, but Sami Zayn saved him.

The main issue here is that the Canadian would once again have to lose to The Tribal Chief, perhaps as a result of interference from someone from The Bloodline, even if Owens and Reigns have always gotten along well together and the match makes sense from a plot perspective. If not, though, we will be seeing THE NEW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins unexpectedly appeared as Reigns’ Royal Rumble foe last year. They then engaged in a brief but compelling feud for the Universal Championship, which resulted in a fantastic battle at the pay-per-view. Due to Reigns’ deliberate disqualification, Rollins prevailed in that fiercely contested match.

According to the narrative, The Tribal Chief was unable to defeat his old Shield comrade in crucial situations. And at the Rumble, that was once more the situation as a result of his own actions. Strangely, the angle was immediately abandoned and was never brought up again. Since then, Rollins and Reigns have crossed paths a few times, but they have yet to square off with gold on the line.

Even though Rollins is now involved in the race for the United States Championship, he shouldn’t be in the long run. He may return his attention to Reigns after his conflict with Austin Theory is over.

It would be appropriate to revisit this rematch for the Rumble, and it would also add excitement to the PPV. Rollins has a higher chance of ousting The Tribal Chief since he is the only person who truly recognizes Reigns.

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes appears to be making good progress in mounting a WWE comeback. Rhodes is healing well from the torn pectoral muscle he sustained before facing Seth Rollins at Hell In A Cell 2022, according to Dave Meltzer’s article in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The former AEW star, who has been out since June, has been training with “elite trainers” to gain bulk and get to a healthy 240 pounds. Even with the extended injury hiatus, Rhodes has remained a prominent figure in wrestling in 2022.

He quit his Executive Vice President job and returned to the organization he initially left in 2016 at WrestleMania 38 after switching from AEW to WWE earlier in the year. This sparked a rivalry with Seth Rollins that resulted in three tremendously well-received premium live event matches.

Until the competition on January 28, he will continue to be a strong favorite in the Royal Rumble 2023. There is a huge chance that Rhodes may win the Royal Rumble. Also, winning the Rumble gives him the chance to challenge Reigns for his WWE Undisputed Championship and fight him at the grandest stage of all.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been questioned about a potential WWE comeback while out appearing in the media to promote his most recent movie, “Black Adam,” which has been released in past months. For the past several years, there has been chatter about WWE wanting The Rock to return for one more encounter to face his cousin Roman Reigns.

The Rock vs. Reigns is a bout that WWE hopes to book for WrestleMania 39, but it hasn’t been finalized due to The Rock’s schedule. The Rock said that he is the Head of the Table when questioned during his appearance on E! News The Rundown. He said, “Who is the head of the table? Without saying any names, you’re looking into his eyes right now.”

Also, this incident gave hope of seeing the dream match between the brothers. Also, recently it is been speculated that The Rock will appear at The RAW is XXX which is creating quite a hype in the WWE universe. If this bout happens for WrestleMania 39, it will become the most memorable WrestleMania as well.
