If the term controversy was to be personified, Jeff Jarrett would be the perfect person for that. Jarrett was a star in his own right and had a very controversial career but they sure were spectacular and successful. He was known for his disputes when it came to contract negotiations but when all those were put aside, there was a world-class wrestler. Jeff not only was a star in WWE but was a household name in WCW as well where he was viewed as the top dog and was in the main event on many occasions and also wrestled with some of the top stars of the company. During his long and illustrious career, he put on great performance after great performance against so many rivals. In this article, we will take a look at some of his top rivals.

Shawn Michaels

Jeff Jarrett feuded with Shawn Michaels when the showstopper challenged Double J for his Intercontinental title. Razor Ramon

Razor Ramon was one of the top guys in the company when Double J crossed his path. Jarrett challenged Ramon for his Intercontinental title at the 1995 Royal Rumble and the two men put on a show for the ages and played to their strengths. Jeff would use all the tricks in his book and counter Ramon with all his expertise while Ramon would use his wily in-ring skills to get the better of Jarrett. After Jarrett initially won by a count-out, he called out Ramon to finish the battle properly. Ramon went for his Razor’s Edge, but Jarrett would turn the tables and counter with a small package to win the title.

Diesel

Jeff Jarrett took on Diesel when both men were riding a wave of success. Jarrett had just defeated Razor Ramon to win the Intercontinental title while Diesel was the World Heavyweight Champion. In an effort to become a dual champion, Jeff challenged Diesel to a match on RAW. The match started well with Diesel taking control early with a powerful clothesline over the top rope. Jarrett was however assisted by his buddy Roadie but it all went in vain as Diesel would land a trademark Powerbomb to retain his title.
