He was a household name. So, I wanted to wrestle Hulk Hogan. And he was someone who inspired. From my friend’s standpoint, Hulk Hogan was the man. The feud between Kurt Angle and Hulk Hogan

Kurt Angle started to lose his hair and the WWE, in typical fashion capitalised on it. Angle and Edge got into a feud and had a match with a peculiar yet funny stipulation. The loser had to shave his head bald. At the 2002 Judgement Day pay-per-view, Edge pinned Angle and shaved his head in what was the ultimate humiliation for the Olympic gold medallist. Both men once again took on each other, this time inside a steel cage which Angle once again lost. Hulk Hogan, who was Edge’s tag team partner at the time, attacked Angle after the match and tried to strip of the wig that Kurt started to use.

That set up a bitter feud between both Angle and Hogan with the two men trading bards at each other at every given opportunity. Both men went head to head for the first time ever at the King of the Ring pay-per-view in 2002 and the match was a classic. The match which lasted for 10 minutes had many great moments. Hogan, who was intent on winning dropped some heavy moves on Angle but Angle managed to overcome everything that the Hulkster threw at him and managed to make Hogan tap to the Ankle Lock and in doing so became the first wrestler in WWE history to defeat Hulk Hogan via submission.
