Kurt Angle recently hinted in an interview with Sportskeeda that he might come out of retirement, and the Olympic Gold Medalist may have already had an offer for a tag team partner.

The WWE Hall of Famer announced his retirement during WrestleMania 35 in 2019, in a bout against Baron Corbin. Since then, he has made intermittent appearances in WWE, notably being assaulted by Bray Wyatt as The Fiend at RAW Reunion in 2019. In addition, he served as a referee in NXT during a steel cage battle between Riddle and Timothy Thatcher.

Due to his recent knee repair, Angle recommended in the interview a tag bout as a return match. Matt Cardona, a former WWE United States Champion, posted a comment online in response to the news. Cardona made a suggestion that he would want to pair with Angle by posting a clip of the two of them fist-bumping on a RAW broadcast.

Kurt Angle may return soon

Angle made the following remarks with regard to a possible comeback: “I don’t think so. I had a knee replacement five months ago. I’m good. I think I’ve had a good enough career that I’m very proud of. If it does come to be, then it will probably be a tag match like Ric Flair did so that I don’t get exposed. I hate to say it, but I’m not exactly the same wrestler I used to be. But if I did decide to have a wrestling match, it would be against younger guys that could carry me. And I’d make sure it was a tag match, so I was not exposed.”

Angle has some thoughts on WWE Universal Champion

Kurt Angle expressed his admiration for Roman Reigns’ new WWE character in an interview with Sportskeeda. The WWE Hall of Famer stated the following to Bill Apter during their conversation: “They should have turned him heel a long time ago. This is the best stuff he’s doing right now today, him being a heel doing the whole family thing, acknowledge me, it’s really good stuff.”

Roman Reigns has sided with Paul Heyman since becoming The Tribal Chief and has held onto the WWE Universal Championship for more than 800 days. The Tribal Chief has held the WWE Championship since WrestleMania 38. He became the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion after defeating Brock Lesnar in a Winner Takes All match.
