The new WWE World Heavyweight Championship is going to serve as the top prize on Raw so Roman Reigns can keep the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on SmackDown.

Who will be crowned the new WWE World Heavyweight champion? No one knows. During this week’s Monday Night Raw, WWE creative head Paul “Triple H” Levesque made a monumental announcement that will help shape the company’s future. Triple H introduced a new World Heavyweight Championship belt, which will be awarded to the victor of the Night of Champions main event on May 27:

With the forthcoming WWE Draft, Triple H stated that Roman Reigns would carry his Undisputed Universal Championship to the brand he is assigned to, while the new World Heavyweight championship will be the top title on the opposing brand.

Reigns’ historic reign is approaching 1,000 days, and it’s evident that the organization has no intention of stripping him of the championships before he achieves that milestone. Apparently, it was concluded that introducing a new title would be a reasonable alternative, although the new champion’s status would be questioned as long as Reigns remains unbeaten.

So, here’s the list of 5 superstars who can win the new WWE World Heavyweight champion

Seth Rollins

Fans occasionally believe that Seth Rollins is not regarded as one of the finest wrestlers of his generation, despite the fact that he is. Indeed, Becky Lynch stated that Rollins deserved to replace Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 39.

Rollins hasn’t won a World Title since capturing the Universal Championship in 2019, which seems like a long time for someone as good as Rollins, so perhaps the fans and Becky are correct when they think Seth deserves better. Regardless, Rollins is in the ring almost every week and does his best to entertain the fans.

GUNTHER

Gunther is in the midst of an epic reign as intercontinental champion, and if he can keep it for another four or five months, he would surpass The Honky Tonk Man as the company’s longest-reigning IC champion. WWE obviously views The Ring General as someone who can lead significant bouts and feuds, so having him win the new world championship while still holding the IC belt would be a wonderful opportunity to give him a massive push toward the main event level.

With him becoming the IC Champion, the likelihood of him becoming the World Champion appears to be slim. The amount of persons who have held both a world and a mid-card championship at the same time is small, therefore bestowing that honor on Gunther would allow him to stand out as one of the company’s most formidable Superstars.

Drew McIntyre

Although without any supporters, Drew McIntyre had a well-deserving run for the World Championship. The Scot was unfortunate in that he was unable to enjoy the warm shouts of the supporters throughout his rule, which is a true tragedy.

That should be enough to convince McIntyre that he deserves to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash Of Champions. Not to add that Drew is a fantastic wrestler with charm, presence, and enthusiasm, all of which are essential for a champion.

Bobby Lashley

“The Almighty” is 46 years old, but he looks better than 99 percent of the roster, moves like a guy half his age, and possesses the power that only a small proportion of humans have. He physically has everything a pro wrestler could want. For the past few years, Lashley has been booked in strong positions, so he would be an excellent candidate to become the first person to hold the new world title.

Finn Balor

With WWE trying to create The Judgement Day as a huge faction there is a possibility WWE might go with “The Demon” to crown him as the new WWE World Heavyweight champion. Bálor became the first universal champion in 2016 when he defeated Seth Rollins at SummerSlam, but his reign was cut short as he was forced to relinquish the championship the next night due to a shoulder injury sustained during the match.

But that was almost seven years ago, and The Prince has yet to match that level. He has had the Intercontinental and U.S. championships, but becoming the first person in WWE history to hold the world title for the second time is something no one else can claim.

If WWE truly wants to make The Judgement Day a success, having Finn Bálor win the World Heavyweight Championship while Rhea Ripley holds the SmackDown Women’s Championship would be the ideal way to convince the fans.
