Eddie Guerrero was a master tactician. He would go through any means to win from his opponent. He would go under the belt if necessary. But that was not all he had. He was a real player who used to play mind games with his opponents. He died tragically, but the WWE Hall of Famer has given us way too many good moments to remember him and cherish those moments. In WWE, his career lasted only 5 years, but that was enough for the man to make a name for himself and get adored by millions. Many superstars established amazing feuds and storylines with Guerrero, putting him on the path to becoming an all-time great. Here’s a look at some of Guerrero’s finest feuds.

John Bradshaw Layfield

Guerrero’s historic WWE Championship run came to an end at The Great American Bash. Guerrero’s charming babyface gimmick complemented JBL’s cocky and loudmouth, and the former performed an excellent job of assisting his new adversary in getting over. JBL successfully defended his championship against Guerrero on several occasions before splitting up after a fantastic feud.

Kurt Angle

Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle had feuded in the tag team division throughout the Attitude Era’s latter years. After Guerrero defeated Lesnar to become the new WWE Champion, they reignited their rivalry ahead of WrestleMania XX. Guerrero overcame Angle in a dramatic 21-and-a-half-minute bout at WrestleMania, regaining his championship on an emotional and incredibly memorable occasion. When Angle was the GM of SmackDown, their enmity continued, with the former costing Guerrero multiple WWE Championship battles against JBL. Gurrero and Angle were great friends outside of the ring. But it was their on-screen animosity that truly blew up the WWE here. The connection between the two in the ring was remarkable.

Rey Mysterio

In WWE, both superstars collaborated well, until Guerrero turned heel after severely assaulting Mysterio on the May 5, 2005, edition of SmackDown. Though it was difficult for fans to see Guerrero turn on his long-time buddy, he proved to be a superb heel – and his in-ring performance with Mysterio was excellent overall. Their animosity continued at SummerSlam, with the winner receiving full custody of Mysterio’s real-life son, Dominick. Just as Eddie was ready to win, his wife Vickie appeared to impede his attempts, allowing Mysterio to win and reconcile with his kid.
