The timeframe for a return was nine months when Cody Rhodes left WWE to have surgery on his injured pectoral muscle following his Hell in a Cell match against Seth Rollins. We could have already seen Cody Rhodes, it seems.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Rhodes is making improvement sooner than expected and might be on pace to rejoin the organization at Royal Rumble and perhaps even the Day One PLE on New Year’s Day. According to the article, Rhodes has been working on his recuperation with Diamond Dallas Page and can lift small weights while exercising.

At WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes made his comeback for WWE in a bout against Seth Rollins. Before being forced to quit because to the damaged muscle, Rhodes beat Rollins twice more.

Cody Rhodes returned in WrestleMania 38

Since the RAW after Hell in a Cell, Cody Rhodes has not been in action. Due to an injured pectoral muscle, The American Nightmare had to take a break. At first, he was supposed to appear at Royal Rumble. He could, however, be ready to show up for the Day 1 Premium Live Event thanks to his fast recuperation.

This year’s WrestleMania 38 marked Cody Rhodes’ comeback to the WWE. Due to an unexpected injury he sustained while preparing for his bout against Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell, his impressive return was cut short. Rhodes put up a top-notch performance versus Rollins at HIAC despite being injured. On the subsequent RAW, The Visionary viciously assaulted him, ending his appearance on television.

Rhodes is recovering well and is anticipated to make a quicker recovery than originally anticipated, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer: ”Rhodes appears to be a little ahead of schedule in healing. He’s working with DDP. Things are normal for him in real life but obviously any upper body weights he can use are extremely light. There’s no firm date for a return this early, and even when there is, I would expect it’ll be kept quiet for a surprise pop. Originally the idea of Rumble looked good. Perhaps Day 1 since it’s in Atlanta and he grew up and still lives there.”
