Cody Rhodes is one of the most talked about wrestlers in the WWE right now. He won the 2023 Royal Rumble by outlasting 30 other men and will go on to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

Cody, unlike many wrestlers, is a naturally gifted athlete. He is the son of WWE legend, the American Dream Dusty Rhodes and is the brother of Goldust. He comes from a rich family heritage and naturally is a very strong wrestler.

He is one of the most athletic wrestlers in the WWE right now and stands at an impressive 188 cm, which also translates to 6 feet 2 inches. With all that height, he will look to take down Roman Reigns, who himself stands at 6 feet 3 inches.

This is his second spell in the WWE. During his first spell, he won the WWE Intercontinental title twice. He won the WWE Tag Team titles thrice, twice with his brother, Goldust and once with Drew McIntyre. Rhodes also won the World Tag Team titles thrice, twice with Ted Dibiase Jr and once with Hardcore Holly. He will look to go one up over them all and win the biggest prize in wrestling, the Undisputed WWE Universal title.

Cody Rhodes reveals his favorite Madison Square Garden moments

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes will take on Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title at WrestleMania 39 and it’s looking more and more likely that he will dethrone The Tribal Chief at the grandest stage of them all. Cody is not just another wrestler but he is the son of WWE legend Dusty Rhodes. After he made his debut in his early 20s, Cody’s career did not take off as he would have expected and that led him to leave the WWE in 2016.

After he left WWE, he wrestled across the world, from Mexico to Japan and finally formed AEW with his friends. He has fought in big arenas across the world but nothing comes close to the mecca of wrestling, Madison Square Garden. In a recent interview with Josh Martinez, Cody reminisced by favorite moments at the iconic venue.

Cody said, “My first Royal Rumble was in Madison Square Garden. And they still had the old entrance. People today, they’re like, ‘Bring the old entrance back.’ They don’t realize they’ve welded shut that area. It’s not coming back.”

He also spoke about a live event match which saw him and his brother Goldust take on Cesaro and Jack Swagger. “The other one was, I had a live event match, myself, my brother versus the Real Americans in a steel cage.  I did a moonsault off the cage and onto Cesaro, and that was the first time I ever did it.”
