After announcing in April that they were giving up their basketball careers to pursue other interests, Haley and Hanna Cavinder are only now starting their WWE careers. In December 2021, they both agreed to a name, image, and likeness contract with the business. The Cavinders learned quickly how to inflame a conflict in professional wrestling thanks to Jake Paul.

When Jake Paul asked The Cavinders whether they could defeat his brother Logan, who is also a WWE signee, they were guests on BS with Jake Paul. “We would absolutely kill him,” Hanna said at the 36:28 mark. “Kill him in the ring.” Jake made the comment that they “should just say that you’d beat the f–k out of him, just to create the storyline” before the response was given. The Cavinders will soon understand, if they haven’t already, that irrational conviction is always a good thing when it comes to upholding kayfabe.

Flair the no.2 babyface of SmackDown

Although Charlotte Flair hasn’t competed since succumbing to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39, she still ranks among the best women on SmackDown. Bianca Belair, who was the Raw women’s champion before switching to SmackDown in the WWE split, is the No. 2 babyface on an internal ranking, according to PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson (via Felix Upton of Ringside News).

Asuka seems to be Belair’s main concern right now. The champion’s jubilation on Friday night was marred by The Empress of Tomorrow. But as long as Flair is regarded as one of the division’s major performers, she will continue to exist in the background. She might be available for a featured bout at SummerSlam in August, it would be logical to think.

‘There is basically almost no chance of that’

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer shot down the notion that Drew McIntyre might startle fans by making a surprise appearance at the AEW All In event on August 27 at Wembley Stadium in London. He said “there is basically almost no chance of that” (via Steve Carrier of Ringside News). “His contract expires months after that date so even if he were to leave WWE when the deal expires (a big if) and goes to AEW (which would be the most likely destination if he were to leave), that can’t happen until 2024. Also, WWE is likely to tack on all of this current period when he’s been out of action with an injury that would move the end of his deal back.”

Shortly after WrestleMania in April, rumors about McIntyre’s discontent started to circulate. According to reports, negotiations for a new contract are also not going well. The Scottish Warrior might join his former WWE coworkers in switching to AEW. The promotion is likely to require to make a few more high-profile recruits to be able to attain the roster diversity and outside attention necessary for keeping up three weekly programmes, particularly if it adds a new show. In the event that McIntyre’s WWE contract expires, it doesn’t seem likely that he will join AEW anytime soon.
