WWE Champion Brock Lesnar opened up on his camaraderie with his long-time on-screen manager Paul Heyman who has also been a support system for him. Heyman has served as the on-screen manager of Lesnar since his debut in WWE main roster in 2002. The duo have established a close bond since then both on and off the ring, sharing some memorable moments. Moreover, it is Heyman who has authored the autobiography on Lesnar, Death Clutch: My Story of Determination, Domination, and Survival.
“Yeah, I mean, he’s a dear friend. I mean, in real life. A backstabbing friend right now. I think we all have somebody like that. It’s just developed [their friendship]…” Lesnar said in The Michael Kay Show.
Lesnar overcame AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Riddle, Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley in the Elimination Chamber 2022 to seal the WWE Champion title for the 10th time in his career. Lashley, who took the title from Lesnar at Royal Rumble, didn’t enter the match due to concussion protocols after being Rollins powerbombed Theory into Lashley’s cell wall which sent him crashing into the metal frame. After he was ousted, Lesnar made light work of the remaining opponents, to claim the title.
He had earlier beaten WWE’s African-American Champions like The Rock (who’s also half Samoan) at Summerslam 2002, Kofi Kingston on SmackDown 1000, Big E at Day 1, before regaining the title from Bobby Lashley at last Saturday’s Elimination Chamber.

The Next Big Thing, as Lesner is nicknamed in WWE, made his debut in 2002 after a two-year stint at Ohio Valley Wrestling. It took him no-time to establish his name for the company as he defeated the likes of WWE stars Matt Hardy, Rob Van Dam, Booker T and The Rock to become a RAW sensation.
Lesnar made his first departure from WWE in 2004, as a global star. He, then, returned to the company for a second stint from 2012 to 2020 where he dominated the World Championship. He remains on course to face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
It was in 2021 that Lesner returned to the company for his third stint sporting a farmer look with a beard and ponytail. He pinned defending champion Big E to become the reigning WWE champion.
