Bobby Lashley looks to have been dropped from WWE’s March 5 Madison Square Garden card, as he has been removed from promotional material.

The return of the promotion to its spiritual home in New York City was first promoted around a WWE Championship bout between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley. However, because of the scheduled challenger’s injuries when wrestling Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2022, this had to be modified.

There is no news on a particular comeback date for Lashley, who was forced to withdraw from last week’s Elimination Chamber bout due to “concussion protocol.” In actuality, the former WWE Champion suffers a shoulder injury.

WWE utilized this week’s Raw edition to generate anticipation for the MSG show, which has struggled to sell tickets. Both Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar pushed the WWE Title bout, with Heyman suggesting that if Lashley was unable to attend the event, he would find an acceptable substitute.

The successor is yet to be named by the promotion. At the time of writing, a title defense for Lesnar was still on the program, as was Roman Reigns defending his Universal Championship.

Bobby Lashley’ WWE Elimination Chamber injury

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has been written off TV due to kayfabe concussion difficulties, as witnessed during WWE’s latest Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia.

According to a recent report from PWInsider, ‘The All Mighty’ is now in Birmingham, Alabama to get his shoulder examined out and perhaps undergo testing.

Earlier rumors said that Lashley was scheduled to have shoulder surgery, but this trip to Birmingham shows that this is not yet set in stone, as WWE will be anxious to prevent surgery until after WrestleMania, with Lashley facing a four-month layoff if he goes under the knife.

On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Paul Heyman stated that WWE Champion Brock Lesnar would defend his title at Madison Square Garden on March 5, with Lashley slated to face ‘The Beast Incarnate’ assuming he passes concussion protocols. If Lashley is actually out, it will be interesting to see who Lesnar will fight at MSG.
