The WWE is a very conflicting place to be and to put it bluntly, it’s difficult to lead a good life if you are a wrestler that is constantly on the road. It gets even more difficult if the wrestler is a religious person. Professing faith in a company that is known to hurt people is not easy but there are wrestlers who have not been shy about professing their faith openly in front of thousands of fans.

In this article, we will take a look at five WWE wrestlers who are professing Christians.

Shawn Michaels

Shawn Michaels was one of the most notorious wrestlers in the 90s and to put it mildly, was not a very good person. That was until he met his wife, Rebecca. Rebecca was a former Nitro Girl and was working for WCW when she met Shawn. Despite initial struggles, She helped Michaels find his way when he was out with a back injury and in the words of the man himself helped him find God.

The Undertaker

If there is one superstar that doesn’t relate to anything that is religious, it is The Undertaker. Taker had a dark persona in WWE but that was only on screen. Off screen, he is very religious as he admitted that he is a firm believer in Christ and credited his wife, former WWE superstar, Michelle McCool for making it possible.

Road Dogg

Road Dogg had quite a career in the WWE. He was a part of DX and did a lot of degenerate things in the ring but despite leading a life full of parties and drugs, his life changed when he started to attend a Bible based rehab facility. Since then, he said that he found God and that he tries to live an exemplary life every day.

AJ Styles

The WWE has a lot of talented wrestlers, but none more so than the “Phenomenal One” AJ Styles. Styles is one for the highlight reel as most of his matches are top notch and have great spots in one way or the other. He once revealed that his faith in God is the most important thing in his life. He said, “It is God first and family second.”

Rey Mysterio

One of Mexico’s greatest imports, Rey Mysterio is a great wrestler and is going into the WWE Hall of Fame. He is not only a great wrestler but also a devout Christian. He has many tattoos related to Christianity with the most prominent one being the tattoo of a cross. He said, “I believe God put me on this journey and all the success and triumph that I’ve had in this world has been because of Him.”
