The latest episode of 205 Live premiered after WWE SmackDown. As always, the show featured some of the company’s best wrestlers of the cruiserweight division.

Damon Kemp is defeated by Josh Briggs on 205 Live

Josh Briggs was in a no-nonsense mindset for his match with newcomer Damon Kemp. He was keen to go back in the winner’s circle after he and partner Brooks Jensen were ousted in the first round of the Dusty Classic.

Kemp is one of the few Superstars on NXT 2.0 or 205 Live who can (nearly) match the towering Briggs’ stature and power. Thus he possibly startled his opponent with some stiff uppercuts early on.

Briggs, on the other hand, turned up the heat. He retaliated with a vicious foot to the face and then a frightening right to the jaw.

Briggs escaped his hard-charging opponent and caught him with a powerful lariat to secure the victory a short time later.

Amari Miller and Lash Legend lose to Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz

On this week’s 205 Live, the lone tag team match was a classic tale of two sorts of tag teams. One that has chemistry and likes tagging together, and one that does not. From the moment Lash Legend interrupted Amari Miller’s entrance and shoved her out of the way as she went through her pre-match ritual, the stage was set for dissent.

It’s no wonder, therefore, that Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz outlasted Miller and Legend. They also took advantage of a crucial blunder.

Leon unexpectedly rolled a distracted Miller into a small package to capture a key win. And now both tandems prepare for the Dusty Classic at the end of a match that saw Miller and Legend dispute over whether to tag in and out on many occasions.

Draco Anthony is defeated by Joe Gacy

Joe Gacy took his message of inclusion to the purple brand. But Draco Anthony seemed to doubt his opponent’s sincerity. Hence why he shoved him away immediately after the opening bell when he sought a hug.

The cold-blooded Harland thus leapt onto the ring apron and looked daggers through Anthony, allowing Gacy to therefore take control with a back suplex the split-second Anthony had the upper hand.
