Puerto Rico vs Argentina: FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship 2022, Live Streaming, When and Where to Watch, Schedule & Results

Puerto Rico will be taking on Argentina in a clash between two struggling sides in Pool E of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2022. The Sunday contest will witness two sides that are languishing at the bottom of Pool E. After losing all their Phase 2 matches till now, Sunday will provide an opportunity for either side to get a much-needed win. The ongoing World Championship is hosted in the Netherlands and Poland this year, and the tournament which started on 23rd September will end on the 15th of October.  

Despite struggling for consistency, Puerto Rico finished fourth in Pool A after managing six points from five games. They won two and lost three in Phase 1. After starting Phase 2 with a 3-0 defeat to China, Puerto Rico’s situation did not improve any better, as they suffered two more losses against Brazil and Japan. On the other hand, Argentina managed a fourth-place finish in Pool D during Phase 1. The South American country lost all three Phase 2 matches they have played till now against the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy.

FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2022 Format

The 24-team tournament will run from September 23 through October 15. The teams are split up into four groups of six teams each, and they compete in a round-robin format. Each pool’s top four teams advance to the second round and the 16 teams are divided into two pools of eight nations. The countries coming from the same first-round pool only play against opponents from a different first-round pool. Each pool’s top four teams compete in a quarterfinal round, with the winners moving on to the semifinals. The World Championship trophy will be up for grabs for the last-four victorious teams, while the third-place match pits the losers against each other.
