Italy finished top of the table with 31 points from 12 games, having managed 10 wins and two losses.
High-flying Italy will be facing France in the second semifinal of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League on Saturday night. The Italians finished the round one matches on top of the table and have been simply unplayable in this competition. They will be heading into the last-four clash with the momentum firmly on their side. However, France cannot be taken lightly. They played exceptionally well in the opening part of the tournament before losing their way slightly this month. Earlier last month when these two sides faced each other, France won the match convincingly 3-0.
Italy finished top of the table with 31 points from 12 games, having managed 10 wins and two losses. One of those defeats was to France at the beginning of the tournament. They had beaten the Netherlands in the quarterfinals, while France overcame Japan. After their promising start, the French side lost their way a bit and finished fourth in the table with 28 points from 12 games. They won nine and lost just thrice all competition. Despite their recent inconsistent form, France can still take a lot of confidence from the previous result with the same opponent as they prepare to face each other on Saturday night.
