France will fight it out with the United States of America to clinch the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League title on Sunday night. Both sides have been in excellent form throughout this competition, hence it will be difficult to call a winner in this fixture. The USA and France finished third and fourth respectively in the table after the round one clashes, and there was not much to separate them in terms of wins, losses and points. These two teams faced each other earlier this month and it was a closely-fought affair with very little to separate them. In the end, the USA prevailed 3-2 over the Europeans in the round one clash.

A fresh new format was enforced for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Nations League ahead of the 2022 edition. The revised format will feature 16 men’s teams who will compete in pools of 8 teams during the preliminary round. Eight teams will then advance to the competition’s final knockout round. The Finals will include the seven strongest teams, with the finals host — Italy — entering the knockout round as the top-placed team. It will consist of eight matches in total – four quarterfinals, two semi-finals, and bronze and gold medal matches.
