South Korea failed to win any of their matches in this year’s Women's Nations League. They lost all 12 matches and got zero points in the end.
Saturday is a busy day for volleyball fans, as a lot of action is set to undergo in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 2022. In one of the most interesting matches of the day, the Dominican Republic will take on South Korea. Both sides had a forgettable FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League earlier this year. Hence, the World Championship will provide them with a good opportunity to make up for it and thereby give their supporters something to look forward to.
The Dominican Republic did not have the best of FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League this year. They could only manage a ninth-place finish and won just five of their 12 matches to get 14 points. Hence, in the ongoing competition, they will be keen to come up with a good run of form. On the other hand, South Korea failed to win any of their matches in this year’s Women’s Nations League. They lost all 12 matches and got zero points in the end. Thereby, South Korea will have to be at the top of their game to get the victory against the Dominican Republic.

The 24-team tournament will run from September 23 through October 15. The teams are split up into four groups of six teams each, and they compete in a round-robin format. Each pool’s top four teams advance to the second round and the 16 teams are divided into two pools of eight nations. The countries coming from the same first-round pool only play against opponents from a different first-round pool. Each pool’s top four teams compete in a quarterfinal round, with the winners moving on to the semifinals. The World Championship trophy will be up for grabs for the last-four victorious teams, while the third-place match pits the losers against each other.
