Charles Oliveira is asking to be included in the lightweight GOAT conversation due to his extensive list of records. With a statement victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 274, Charles Oliveira extended his winning run to 11 fights. ‘Do Bronx’ has looked amazing in recent appearances, and he easily despatched the human ‘Highlight’ reel in the first round. Oliveira has defeated previous UFC, Bellator, and World Series of Fighting champions in one of the sport’s most spectacular streaks.

Charles Oliveira ‘Greatest of All-Time’

Oliveira won the lightweight title against Michael Chandler, and in his previous four fights, he has defeated Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson, and now Gaethje. With 19 of his 21 victories coming via KO/TKO or submission, the 32-year-old Brazilian owns the UFC record for most finishes. Charles Oliveira makes his case for himself as the best of all time on a recent episode of MMA Fighting’s Trocaço Franca.

Oliveira said, “Most bonuses. Most submissions. Most finishes. What else? I’m breaking records. There are no arguments against facts. I’m the chosen one. That’s the reality.”

Oliveira on comparison with Khabib

“Do Bronx” was asked how he would compare to Khabib Nurmagomedov and BJ Penn in a showdown for the title of the greatest 155-pound fighter of all time during the same interview. Oliveira proclaimed himself “the greatest of all time” at first. He then took a breather before continuing his statement.

Oliveira said, “I’m getting there. I’m becoming one of the best of all time. I don’t think [I am] yet. One step at a time. I’m up there. We have to keep our feet on the ground and be humble. Let people think that. What do you think, am I the greatest of all time? That’s the question. My age, 32, with records of most submissions and bonuses and so many other things I have to start writing down so I don’t forget. Lightweight champion, 11 wins in a row. Of those 11 wins, only one decision. We’re happy.”
