Bouts involving Brock Lesnar are always exciting to watch. The man came into the octagon after a very successful career in WWE, then transitioned to MMA and won the heavyweight championship. His successful reign was just off the charts. Brock’s UFC career was a very short stint, but he marked his name in the books as one of the best heavyweights of all time. In his short stint, Lesnar only appeared for 8 fights, winning 4, losing 3, and 1 with no contest. Brock Lesnar was first known worldwide for his amazing in-ring ability, but he had more to offer.

He made his MMA debut in 2007, a natural career route for him given his great record as an amateur wrestler, which included two NCAA Division 1 title. Initially, when he came to UFC, no one took him seriously, and was considered a “fake” wrestler. But did it stop him? No, not at all. As Lesnar was a big name, UFC considered him to fight top star, and his first match was against Frank Mir, a former heavyweight champion. In his debut, he lost to Mir, but Lesnar gave a fight. And after his debut, he had many other bouts as well. So, here we will look at the best fights Brock Lesnar had in his short but impactful UFC career.

Randy Couture – UFC 91, November 15, 2008

Many people laughed when Brock Lesnar was anointed the number one contender for the UFC Heavyweight Championship against three-time champion Randy Couture. Whether he deserved the opportunity or not, Lesnar was more than a match for Couture. Lesnar, unexpectedly, outmatched Couture, forcing him into the fence and taking him down with powerful ground and pound attacks. Couture resisted the onslaught and appeared to be taking the initiative in the guard. Couture attempted to work a submission, but the sheer bulk of Lesnar prevented him from doing so. When the action got to the ground, it was all Lesnar. The “Beast” connected with a powerful right hand that knocked Couture out. Lesnar was the World Heavyweight Champion.

Alistair Overeem – UFC 141, December 30, 2011

Lesnar had just lost the Heavyweight Championship and was looking to reclaim his title against another top contender in the division. However, Lesnar appeared to be a ghost of his former self in this thrilling encounter, which was undoubtedly one-sided in favour of Overeem. Overeem gained over by landing big knees, causing the “Beast” to collapse over in pain. Lesnar attempted to punch his way back into the match, but Overeem repelled the onslaught with some big left hands followed by a massive leg kick to the body, leading Lesnar to slump to the ground. Overeem pounced on top of him and unleashed an onslaught that resulted in the TKO victory. The result was not in favor of Lesnar but, “The Beast Incarnate” do brings the fight.

Frank Mir – UFC 100, July 11, 2009

Frank Mir vs. Brock Lesnar II was one of the biggest pay-per view. It had one hell of a sale. Already, with one loss Lesnar was frutrared and wanted to score a win. Also, Lesnar didn’t forget the comments Mir had on his abilities. so, the match started and Lesnar took control. Lesnar grabbed Mir down and pummelling him repeatedly with purposeful elbows that seriously slashed up Mir’s face. Lesnar soon got Mir down again in the second round, but Mir was able to get back to his feet. Lesnar nearly paid for it as the former Heavyweight Champion tagged him with a powerful right hand and a flying knee. Lesnar and Mir ended up back on the ground, where Lesnar smacked Mir in the face again until referee Herb Dean came in for the TKO finish.
