UFC 274 was a crazy bout with many exciting matches. So, first, we’ll talk about the main event between Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira in which Oliveira got a hold on Gaethje before making him submit in the first round. After missing weigh-ins and getting stripped from the title it was speculated that Oliveira might not win. But even against all the odds “Do Bronx” defeated “The Highlight” in style.

Both the men started being wary of each other and kept throwing punches, but all “Do Bronx” needed was to strongly grapple his opponent Gaethje and put a rear-naked choke to earn his victory. Now Charles Oliveira again eyes his championship, as he is the newest number 1 contender for The UFC Lightweight Championship. When asked who would he wanna fight, he wanted McGregor to be the man. Let us see whether Conor McGregor plans to fight or not.

Rose Namajunas vs Carla Esparza

Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza fought for the women’s strawweight belt in the co-main event. This was a rematch of The Ultimate Fighter: A Champion Will Be Crowned’s 2014 finals. Esparza defeated her opponent and became the first female strawweight champion in UFC history. Namajunas came into this tournament as the reigning champion, defending her title for the second time. Their second match was far less noteworthy than the first. Esparza defeated Namajunas for the second time, however the battle was heavily criticised for both fighters’ lack of activity.

Michael Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson

Michael Chandler vs Tony Ferguson was the match of the night. In Tony Ferguson’s long UFC career he has never been knocked out and the man to do the impossible was none other than the “Iron” Michael Chandler. In a victory over Tony Ferguson, Michael Chandler recorded one of the finest knockouts of the year. At the start of the second round, he felled El Cucuy with a front kick to the face. Ferguson was unconscious for many minutes before regaining consciousness on the mat. As Chandler continued to celebrate in the Octagon, trainers assisted him to his feet. Chandler took advantage of the opportunity following his stunning knockout to confront Conor McGregor. Every fighter wanted McGregor to be their next opponent, whether it be Oliveira the no. 1 contender for The UFC lightweight Champion, or whether it be “Iron” Michael Chandler.
