Twitter reacts on Jiri Prochazka's championship win over Glover Texeira in UFC 275

Jiri Prochazka’s lengthy wait for a championship chance ended on Saturday when he defeated Glover Teixeira for the light heavyweight title at UFC 275. Prochazka (29-3-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) won gold in only his third octagon appearance, defeating (33-8 MMA, 16-6 UFC) through fifth-round submission in the main event at Singapore Indoor Stadium. With the victory, Prochazka became the first champion from the Czech Republic in UFC history.

Midway through the year, it’s impossible to envision anything topping the UFC 275 main event between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira for “Fight of the Year.” Prochazka vs. Teixeira featured all the elements of a dozen fights, from blood to heart to a near-buzzer-beater finish by Prochazka that created a new light heavyweight champion and surprised the fans at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
