Shavkat Rakhmonov is a professional mixed martial artist (MMA) from Kazakhstan. Shavkat Rakhmonov, born in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, on October 17, 1994. known for his explosive fighting style and outstanding abilities inside the Octagon. He became passionate about martial arts at a young age.

In 2014, Rakhmonov made his professional debut in regional clubs. He attracted attention quickly due to his impressive performance and unique skill set. Rakhmonov showed his grappling skills, frequently submitting his opponents with his smooth submission moves.

He would switch between the two organizations, eventually getting his first professional title shot against Faridun Odilov for the KZMMAF welterweight crown. His third-round TKO victory gave him the belt. Rakhmonov also won the WMMAA World and Asian Championships as an amateur.

Rakhmonov became the world champion, in amateur MMA, for WMMAA (World MMA Association) in 2013 as an 18 years old. In his final outing on the local scene, Rakhmonov successfully defended his M-1 welterweight title by stopping Tiago Varejo in the opening frame of M-1 Challenge 102.

Shavkat Rakhmonov made his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2020, Rakhmonov quickly established himself as a promising prospect in the welterweight division.

In his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 179 in October 2020, Rakhmonov faced experienced fighter Alex Oliveira. Despite being considered an underdog, Rakhmonov stunned the MMA world with a first-round guillotine choke submission, earning him the Performance of the Night bonus.
