Joe Rogan recently recalled an instance in which he shielded a Leon Edwards skeptic from harm. On the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) Podcast, Rogan was recently joined by fellow podcasters and comics Ari Shaffir, Tom Segura, and Bert Kreischer. Rogan identified Edwards after Segura detailed the event but omitted to name the fighter. When a supporter started “saying s**t” to “Rocky” while Rogan was with Edwards, the UFC color commentator intervened to stop the fan, protecting Edwards from imminent harm.

The fan was playing with one of the world’s best prizefighters, Rogan reminded him. The 55-year-old reflected on the incident and said: “Leon Edwards was there. Leon Edwards was being harassed by a man. You are making a crucial error, I said. I’ll simply jump in right now. To begin with, he is one of the finest fighters on the globe, and you’re selecting the wrong guy! You’re out of line, being a s**head to him for no f**king reason.” In March of last year, Leon Edwards made his debut on the Joe Rogan Experience. A day before the podcast, Edwards subsequently claimed that Rogan had asked him to a comedy concert where the UFC color commentator would be appearing with fellow comic Dave Chappelle.

Everyone at the podcast studio burst into laughter at the encounter before moving on to another topic without specifying when it actually happened. He made his one and only appearance, revealing that he’s been hanging out with Logan and fellow comedian Dave Chappelle since. “I was on a comedy show. It was a great comedy show. I went backstage and Dave Chappelle said, ‘Oh, you’re a kung fu dude,'” Edwards said on the James English podcast.
