Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov new inductess in the UFC Hall of Fame

Cormier won the 205-pound title in 2015 and went on to win the heavyweight title in the UFC in 2018. At UFC 229 in October 2018, they squared off. In the fourth round of the title fight, Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor via submission.

Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov, past titleholders, were inducted into the UFC’s Hall of Fame on Thursday as part of the organization’s Modern Wing. On Thursday, both Cormier and Nurmagomedov were present at T-Mobile Arena. 43-year-old former UFC two-weight champion Cormier. The 33-year-old former lightweight champion Nurmagomedov retired with a 29-0 record.

Each of the two celebrities declared their MMA retirement in the year 2020. Cormier and Nurmagomedov were not only two of the best fighters in the world, but they also shared a hilarious bond with the sport’s supporters. Nurmagomedov, who is originally from Dagestan, transferred most of his UFC training camps to the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California, where he trained with Cormier.

Cormier (19-3), a former U.S. Olympic wrestler from Lafayette, Louisiana, and former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones were engaged in one of the most intense MMA feuds in history. Despite losing to Jones twice, in 2015 and 2017, Cormier won the 205-pound title in 2015 and went on to win the heavyweight title in the UFC in 2018.

Some people believe that Nurmagomedov (29-0) is the best fighter of all time. He also engaged in a fierce rivalry with Conor McGregor, another celebrity. At UFC 229 in October 2018, they squared off. In the fourth round of the title fight, Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor via submission. Even though he was still regarded as being in the absolute peak of his profession, he decided to retire in 2020, not long after the passing of his father, Abdulmanap.

The UFC also added a 2016 featherweight match between Cub Swanson (28-12) and Dooho Choi (14-4) to the Fight Wing of its Hall of Fame in addition to Cormier and Nurmagomedov. Additionally, it honoured two active featherweights as recipients of the Forrest Griffin Community Award: Max Holloway and Giga Chikadze.
