The women’s doubles final at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships is right around the corner and the two teams that have made it to the big stage are top seeds Zhang Shuai and Elise Mertens, and second seeds Katerina Siniakova and Barbora Krejcikova. Zhang and Mertens defeated the American duo of Danielle Collins and Desirae Krawczyk in the semis by a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. On the other hand, Siniakova and Krejcikova beat fourth seeds Lyudmyla Kichenok and Jelena Ostapenko to book their place in the last two of the competition.
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Sunday, July 10 in the final of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championship is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10.
