David Goffin is the first ever tennis star from Belgium to break into the top 10 of the ATP rankings. In fact, he is also currently the highest-ranked male tennis player from the country.
His career-high singles ranking is number 7 and he is currently 30 in the world. Goffin has won a total of 6 titles in his career. Of those, five have come in singles competition and 1 in the doubles division.
But aside from winning five singles titles, he has also finished runners-up in nine other finals. The most notable of those was the 2017 ATP World Tour Finals, where he lost to Grigor Dimitrov.

Goffin’s game revolves largely around him playing offensive strokes on the baseline. From there he can effectively hit either with a strong forehand or his double-hand backhand.
The latter of those is what many consider to be his strongest shot. His backhand is an especially effective shot when he plays it down the line.
That variation of his shot is considered by many to one of the best of its kind on the men’s tour. His serving and return game is solid enough and he is also quick on his feet.
He also has the ability of being able to retrieve balls that are in a tricky position. He is solid at the net but doesn’t often attempt to volley as it isn’t a major strength.

Nevertheless, his achievements have made him a person of interest for many around the world. This includes fans being curious about his personal life.

Stephanie Tuccitto is also from Belgium and the two have been dating since at least 2012. They finally got married in 2021, although Tuccitto had long believed it would happen.
In an interview with Tennis World USA in 2018, she spoke about wanting to settle down with David Goffin one day.
“We will find the right moment, I’m sure. I hope he reads my interview (laughs), I think marriage is a natural step in our relationship, and we’re already sort of engaged – without words, without an alliance.
“Marriage is the next step. There is no urgency. I would like it to be a beautiful celebration with our friends and our loved ones, to make it an unforgettable day celebrating love.”
The two are fairly private about their personal life, so it is not quite known how they met or what led to them eventually dating and falling in love.
However, Tuccitto can often be seen at Goffin’s matches cheering him on. And they are regularly spotted on each other’s social media accounts.
Stephanie Tuccitto was also a tennis player in her youth. However, she chose to give up the game in 2008; why this is the case remains unclear.
She would later attend the University of Liege, where she studied communications.
