The quarter-final of the 2022 US Open will be a blockbuster tie in the women’s doubles category as third seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova will take on the fifth-seeded pair of Giuliana Olmos and Gabriela Dabrowski. Krejcikova and Siniakova beat Chan Hao-ching and Shuko Aoyama in the round of 16 by a score of 6-2, 6-0, recording one ace and five break points in the process. Olmos and Dabrowski were up against Ena Shibahara and Asia Muhammad in the last 16 and won 6-3, 3-6 7-6 (10-8) after recording two aces and three out of 15 break points.
Siniakova/Krejcikova and Olmos/Dabrowski are scheduled to face each other on Tuesday, September 6 in the quarter-final of the 2022 US Open. The fourth and final Grand Slam of the season began on August 29 and will go on until September 11.
