The Czech duo of Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova is one of the strongest favourites to win the women’s doubles crown at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. Their recent victory came against the team of Flipkens and Sorribes Tormo. The score at the end of the straight-sets triumph was 7-6 (7-2), 6-4. Siniakova and Krejcikova won the match after scoring five out of seven break points and taking seven service games.
Much like the Czech pair, Ellen Perez and Nicole Melichar-Martinez have had an outstanding display at the Championships so far. They beat Magdalena Frech and Beatriz Haddad-Maia in the previous round to reach the quarter-finals. The score at the end of the tie was 6-1, 6-1, a comfortable victory for Perez and Martinez.
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Tuesday, July 5 in the round of 16 of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet.
