Korda won his first career ATP Tour singles title at the Emilia-Romagna Open in May, an ATP 250 tournament that was first held in 2021.
Being the son of a great tennis player always comes with its own set of pressures. While it might be easier to climb the ladder in the initial stages, the player has to contend with constant comparisons with their old man almost throughout their whole careers. The ones who can break that chain and make a big name for themselves, despite all the pressures of unfair expectations, are indeed special. One such player, who is seemingly special, is Petr Korda’s son Sebastian Korda. Sebastian is a professional tennis player from the United States. Korda reached his career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 38 on October 18, 2021. He has only won one ATP singles event, the Emilia-Romagna Open in 2021. At the 2018 Australian Open, he also won the junior title, 20 years after his father, Petr Korda, won the senior title.

Korda won his first career ATP Tour singles title at the Emilia-Romagna Open in May, an ATP 250 tournament that was first held in 2021 due to the French Open’s one-week postponement. He won the tournament without dropping a set, defeating Marco Cecchinato in the final. Since Sam Querrey in 2010, he became the first American male tennis player to win on European clay. As a result of this strong run, he climbed to a new career high of No. 50 on May 31, 2021.
Sebastian Korda has faced Sonego three times so far but could only manage to record one victory. The Italian tennis player has won two of those matches.
