On Friday, the third round of the 2022 ATP Citi Open will see Holger Rune of Denmark taking on J.J. Wolf of the United States.

Benoit Paire was easily defeated by 9th seed Holger Rune in her second-round match at Washington, D.C. 6-3, 6-2. The 19-year-campaign old’s in the Citi Open has been launched with that victory, but as he moves forward, things are probably going to get more challenging for him. His season record is 16–17, but he’s currently ranked No. 28 in the world, which is just one spot off his career high. Since Holger is somewhat of a clay specialist, it is not particularly surprising that the clay courts hosted the highlights of his season. After reaching the semifinals in Lyon and the quarterfinals at the French Open, he won his first ATP championship in Munich. He defeated some notable competitors in these competitions, including Stefanos Tsitsipas, Denis Shapovalov, and Alexander Zverev. However, a five-match losing streak versus tour players with lower rankings followed these results.
Jeffrey Using a wildcard in the competition, John Wolf recently defeated the sixth-seeded Denis Shapovalov 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-3 to go to round three. He shocked Taro Daniel in the first set, 6-2, 6-3. The 23-year-old, who is presently rated 99th in the world, has competed primarily in Challenger tournaments this year. Despite his lack of success there, J.J. was consistent enough to advance to the finals of the hard-court competitions in Phoenix, Orlando, and Rome. In Atlanta, when he played Donald Young in the qualifying round’s opening round, he retired after a three-set struggle.
Holger Rune and Jeffrey John Wolf will face each other in the third round of the 2022 Citi open on Friday, August 5. The ATP 500 competition is scheduled to start from August 1 and end on August 7 this year.
The 2022 Citi Open will see six rounds of action excluding the qualifiers. These include the round of 64, round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The tournament is scheduled to commence on August 1 and conclude on August 8 this year.
