Roberto Bautista Agut and Tommy Paul are scheduled to take on one another in the first round of the 2022 Paris Masters on November 1.
Roberto Bautista Agut ended his three-match losing streak in Basel, when he overcame Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka in straight sets before falling in two tiebreakers to the in-form Holger Rune in the semifinal. The Spaniard hasn’t been at his best on any surface this year, but he still won two ATP titles and became only the second active player from his country (after Rafael Nadal) to have ten (or more) ATP titles.
Tommy Paul has been a reliable performer on the main tour this year, but his performance fell in the last stretch of the season, when he needed to step up and defend major points. His title defence in Stockholm failed in the second round, and he was defeated in three sets by Dominic Thiem in the first round of ATP Vienna last week. Former Boys’ French Open winner is unbeaten in first-round matches at Paris Masters (2-0) and has advanced through the first round in 18 of the 25 tournaments he has played in over the last ten months. Consistent efforts all year helped him break into the top 30 of the ATP rankings.
Roberto Bautista Agut and Tommy Paul are scheduled to take on one another in the first round of the 2022 Paris Masters on Tuesday, November 1. The tournament is scheduled to be held from October 31 to November 6, 2022.
The ATP Paris Masters 2022 will have five rounds of action excluding the qualifiers. These are the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The competition’s main draw is set to commence on October 31, 2022 and conclude on November 6, 2022.
