However, she was beaten by Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6 (7-4), 6-0 and she failed to win the crown. At the Tallinn Open, Ostapenko will begin her campaign against the seasoned veteran Kaia Kanepi.
Kanepi’s last competition was the 2022 US Open earlier this month which saw her reach the second round. The 37-year-old defeated Tereza Martincova in the first round but was beaten by sixth seed Aryna Sabalenka in the second. In Tallinn, the veteran will look to prove her mettle.
