This week, Pedro Cachin also struggled to get going in his first-round encounter, but he immediately found his footing and won the match in straight sets, including a bagel in the second set, 7-6 6-0 against Alexey Vatutin. With this victory, the Argentinean snapped a four-match indoor hard court losing streak and earned his first victory on the surface since 2018, when he competed in eight matches and triumphed in five on the Challenger and ITF circuits.
