Fourth seeds Storm Sanders and John Peers will face the unseeded pair of William Blumberg and Caty McNally in the semi-final of the 2022 US Open in the mixed doubles category. Sanders and Peers beat the American-Canadian pair of Jack Sock and Leylah Fernandez in the quarter-finals by a score of 7-5, 7-6 (7-3). They hit seen aces and recorded three out of five break points. Blumberg and McNally have been in a fine run of form so far at the Grand Slam. The duo beat David Vega Hernandez and Jelena Ostapenko in the last eight by a score of 7-6 (10-8), 6-2.
McNally/Blumberg and Sanders/Peers are scheduled to face each other on Friday, August 9 in the semi-final of the 2022 US Open. The fourth and final Grand Slam of the season began on August 29 and will go on until September 11.
