Despite been losing in the round of 16 round, Jelena Ostapenko seems like doing well in women’s double match . The match against Tatjana Maria where she lost the match in thrilling 3 set sure put lot of trouble for Ostapenko as she was seem frustrated by throwing water bottles and getting booed by the crowd. even after that it seems like she has been performing well in doubles match. The team of Ostapenko and Kichenok won against the team of Shuko Aoyama and Chan Hao Ching in 3 sets ( 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 ) in quarterfinal and advanced to the semifinal round of women’s double.
Meanwhile no.2 seed team of Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova have been playing some phenomenal tennis in Wimbledon 2022. This Czech duo have been storming their way in the rounds of championship. In the quarterfinal round where they won against the team of Nicole Martinez and Ellen Perez in 3 sets ( 1-6, 7-6, 6-2 ) and book their ticket to the semifinal round the doubles match.
The two teams are scheduled to face each other on Friday, July 8 in the semifinal of the 2022 Championships. The timing of the match has not been decided yet. The Championships is scheduled to begin on June 27 and go on until July 10. There were a number of exciting matches on July 8 as the singles competition reaches its business end.
