Keys/Mirza and Gauff/Pegula will take on each other on Sunday in the semifinal round of 2022 Canadian open women's doubles.
On Saturday, the Indian-American duo Sania Mirza and Madison Keys defeated the pair of Yulia Putintseva and Sofia Kenin in 3 set match 7-5, 6-3, 10-6. Mirza and Keys have been playing quite well and will be looking forward to book their places in the finals of the Canadian open. For Keys, the single tournament was not was she expected as she was defeated in the first round by Asia Muhammad in straight sets.
Meanwhile the American duo of Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula defeated the no 5 seeded team of Desirae Krawczyk and Demi Schuurs in 3 set match 6-3, 6-2, 10-3. Both Gauff and Pegula have played exceptional in singles format as Gauff reached the quarterfinal but was defeated by Simona Halep in straights sets. Pegula had done quite well as she has reached the semifinal round where she will face halep.
Mirza/Keys and Gauff/Pegula will take on each other on Sunday August 14 in the semifinals of the 2022 Canadian open women’s doubles. The competition is scheduled to commence on August 8 and conclude on August 15 this year.
The 2022 edition of the Canadian Open is set to begin from August 8 and go on until August 15. The men’s final is scheduled to be on August 15 and the women’s one is set to be held on August 14. There will be six rounds of play in the main draw excluding the qualifiers.
